Robert Osgood

 

Dr. Osgood has over 30 years experience in laboratory medicine. His research is focuses on the infectious diseases of biofilms, surface attached microbial communities that have the potential to be beneficial or promote disease.

A large part of Dr. Osgood’s efforts are aimed at enlightening middle school and high school students about careers in STEM through opportunities to participate in off-site camps and engaging lectures at schools – F2F and online. Currently, he is assisting HDG in providing guidance to educators for optimizing STEM labs to online learning platforms.

Dr. Osgood earned his B.S. degree in biology from Jackson State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also completed a 3.5 year postdoctoral fellowship from the Oral Institute at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.
